Alivia’s Granny Deb commissioned this piece as a special gift to her. Alivia’s name comes from a fantasy gaming playstation character. She was born in the month of April. The opal colouring represents her birthstone. The Falcon is Alivia’s native spirit animal and her Granny’s favorite creature as well. The fairy represents the wish that Alivia will always have a sense of wonder and magic in nature throughout her life.
This piece has been created using Powertex textile hardening compound applied to t-shirt material and doilies. The falcon is made with Powertex clay. It was built with wire, tin foil, styrofoam, masking tape and stands on a piece of wood. H18” x W19” x D12” – September 2023
