Relaxing on the beach reading a wonderful story. She is made from T-shirt material. Her hair is also T-shirt material cut in strands to look like a pony tail. The book and visor are made from cardboard. The blanket she is lying on is a piece of crocheted vest.  I used the Grey Powertex fabric hardening compound.  September, 2011

  • I love Ashlynn. Her name belongs to a friend’s first granddaughter. It represents a relaxing day at the beach.  The picture isn’t very clear but she is wearing capri’ pants with a cuff and the shawl over her shoulders looks so natural.

Reflecting on the day.   Penny’s dress and hat are made from T-shirt material. The buttons on her dress are tacks.  Grey Powertex fabric hardening compound was used and blue craft paint to highlight. H7” x W9” X D9” – September, 2011

  • When I saw a picture of a woman sitting on a bench in a courtyard I thought I could create something similar and voila…it happened. I love the bow on the back of her dress.  Have not been able to recreate that bow on any other piece again.
